The job

Operate heavy trucks and tractor-trailer equipment to transport grain, fertilizer, seed, and other agricultural materials in support of farming and custom agricultural hauling operations.

Duties include:

Transport grain from fields to grain elevators, storage facilities, receiving facilities, and other locations.

Transport fertilizer, seed, and other agricultural inputs to farms and fields.

Perform custom agricultural hauling for agricultural producers and businesses.

Load, secure, transport, and unload agricultural commodities and materials.

Inspect vehicles and equipment and perform routine maintenance checks.

Maintain required transportation, delivery, mileage, and inspection records.

Follow assigned routes, schedules, and applicable safety requirements.

Report vehicle, equipment, or safety issues to the employer.

Communicate with farm personnel, customers, grain facilities, and other personnel as needed.

Perform other related agricultural transportation and hauling duties as assigned.

Work schedules and duties may vary based on weather, crop conditions, planting and harvest schedules, grain volumes, customer needs, and other agricultural requirements. Extended hours, weekends, and holidays may be required during peak agricultural periods.

Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)

Meals: The employer will provide free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities, including refrigeration, food preparation space, cooking accessories, utensils, appliances, and dishwashing facilities, all in working order. Adequate sinks with hot and cold running water are

also included. To support workers, the employer will provide weekly transportation to stores for grocery shopping when cooking and kitchen facilities are provided.

Transport: After 50% of the work contract period is completed, the employer will reimburse eligible workers for the cost of inbound transportation

and subsistence from their place of origin to the place of employment, if these costs have not already been paid. At the end of the

work contract, or upon termination without cause, the employer will pay for the worker’s outbound transportation and daily subsistence

back to the place of origin, unless the worker is transferring to another H-2A employer who wil

Must show proof of legal authorization to work in the United States. Must possess a valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL) and have prior commercial driving experience. Applicants must have a clean driving record and maintain an insurable drivers license. Drug/alcohol/tobacco-free work zone.

Perform physical activities such as lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, handling, positioning, moving, and manipulating materials. Must use static strength to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, and carry objects weighing up to 75 lbs. All applicants must be able, willing, and qualified to perform the work described and must be available for the entire period specified and work throughout all areas of intended employment.

Work is performed outdoors and employees may be exposed to varying weather conditions. Must be capable of performing physically strenuous labor for long hours, occasionally in extreme heat or cold. Variable weather conditions apply; hours may fluctuate (+/-)
