The job

Field Worker (Artichoke, Broccoli, Brussels sprouts, Cauliflower, Celery, Fennel, Head Lettuce, Mix Lettuce, Romaine Lettuce, Romaine Hearts and Spinach) to perform the following duties:

All work is performed in the field and on a farm. Workers may harvest, carry, bag, pack, seal, and load fresh agricultural products in the field and may perform multiple pack styles simultaneously. Workers may also operate, inspect, clean, sanitize, and perform routine maintenance on tractors, harvesting equipment, and field sanitation facilities. Workers will receive specific instructions regarding assigned duties and expected results. All work is performed under the direction and close supervision of Foremen, Field Supervisors, and/or customer representatives. Workers are expected to meet production requirements while performing all assigned duties in accordance with company policies and customer quality, sanitation, safety and food safety standards. To meet operational and production needs, workers may be temporarily or permanently assigned or reassigned to different crews and/or job positions for worker relief, operational support, production demands, training, or other legitimate business reasons consistent with program requirements. Crew and job assignments are made solely by the Foreman and/or Supervisor based on operational and production needs. Workers may not change crews or positions without prior authorization from the Foreman or Supervisor or unless otherwise approved for a legitimate business reason. Workers may occasionally perform duties that are incidental to, but not the primary focus of, their assigned position. Such duties will be temporary in nature and directly related to agricultural operations. Workers are expected to perform all assigned tasks safely, professionally, efficiently, and at a pace consistent with crew operations.

Housing: Rental or public accommodations

Meals: Meals Provided: Workers residing in employer-provided housing without kitchen facilities will be offered three meals per day, seven days per week. On workdays, the noon meal may be provided at the worksite.

The employer will charge up to the maximum daily meal charge permitted by the U.S. Department of Labor for employer-provided meals, unless a higher amount is approved.

Meal charges will be deducted only for days on which meals are provided and made available to the worker, beginning on the first day the worker occupies employer-provided housing. No deduction will be made for meals not provided. No refund will be issued for meals offered but not consumed.

Employer has a Catering Agreement in place with Pan Comido, LLC. Point of Contact: Juan Bautista, direct phone number (, to prepare and provide three meals a day. The employer will be responsible for paying the vendor directly for the meals served.

Transport: For both inbound and outbound transportation, Employer will either purchase airline tickets or arrange transportation from the place of recruitment to the nearest U.S. Consulate or U.S. Port of Entry. The established place of recruitment is Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. Workers who choose to make their own travel arrangements. Employer will reimburse workers at no less than the most economical and reasonable common carrier rate (e.g., van, bus, plane).

Experience wanted: 2 months

2 months verifiable agricultural experience in any of the commodities harvested in the Job Order in the last 2 years. Drug testing is conducted at employer's expense: post hire, but prior to the worker beginning work on the contract, upon reasonable suspicion, post-accident and at random or periodically. Must be able to understand work & safety instructions in English or Spanish, the languages spoken and written in the workplace.
