The job

Bring cattle back from summer pastures. Wean and vaccinate calves. Pregnancy check cows and vaccinate. Feed cattle daily. Salt and mineral cattle as needed. Check cows/calves daily for sickness and or injury. Maintain feed equipment. Check water supply daily/break ice. Move cattle as needed. Prep calving facilities. Move in winter feed/prep as needed. Snow removal as needed. Begin calving in February and continue through May. Assist cows with calving as needed. Take care of orphaned calves as needed. Tag newborn calves daily. Brand/Work calves. Move pairs as needed. Clean facilities as needed. Prep summer pastures. Move cattle to summer pastures (May). May need to drive to town to pick up cattle supplies on occasion. Other seasonal cattle duties as assigned.

Farming with: Beef Cattle. No CDL Required and no commercial truck driving required.

Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)

Meals: Employer-provided housing includes free and convenient kitchen facilities with appropriate equipment, appliances, cooking accessories, and dishwashing facilities for meal preparation. For workers residing in employer-provided housing, employer also provides free transportation once per week to/from closest town or city for personal errands (e.g., groceries, banking services).

Transport: The employer will permit workers to select any means of transportation they choose and provide reimbursement upon arrival at the farm for all inbound and outbound transportation at no less than the most economical and reasonable common carrier transportation charges for the distance involved. This may include plane, train, bus, or automobile.

Experience wanted: 1 months

Minimum of 1 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Employer requires drug screen post hire at employers expense due to the liability of operating equipment. Failure to pass drug screen will result in termination of employment. Lift and carry items weighing up to 75 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Workers must have positive verifiable experience relevant to the job and be capable of performing physically demanding tasks. Workers must be able to speak English. Employees must adhere to strict biosecurity, company policies, and food safety guidelines, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Certain roles may require a valid drivers license within 30 days of hire and a clean driving record for operating company vehicles. Exceptional performance may be rewarded with additional compensation or benefits at the employers discretion.
