The job
Job duties include the following: Use hand tools, such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears and knives. Harvest, pack, box and load sweet corn. Field care and weed removal. Workers will walk along rows as specified by employers and remove weeds and grass from fields by hand or using a hoe. Land preparation, minor maintenance, crop maintenance, miscellaneous clean up, hoeing, tilling soil, transplanting, weeding, thinning and or pruning, hauling produce or any other farm material including mill mud. Must be able to reach, bend and lift items weighing 70 pounds. Must be able to operate motorized equipment and work outdoors in wet, dusty and dirty conditions, in extreme heat and cold inclement weather. Must be able to listen to, understand and follow simple instructions of supervisors and dispatcher. Must be able to work in fields where ants, snakes and poison ivy are encountered. Use of personal cell phone or other personal electronic devices during working hours is strictly prohibited except for work-related calls or emergencies and violation may result in immediate termination.

Se requiere capacidad para estirarse, agacharse y levantar objetos que pesen 70 libras (aprox. 32 kg). Se requiere capacidad para operar maquinaria motorizada y trabajar al aire libre en condiciones de humedad, polvo y suciedad, así como bajo temperaturas extremas (calor o frío) y condiciones climáticas adversas. Se requiere capacidad para escuchar, comprender y seguir instrucciones sencillas impartidas por los supervisores y el despachador. Se requiere capacidad para trabajar en campos donde pueda haber hormigas, serpientes y hiedra venenosa. Queda estrictamente prohibido el uso de teléfonos celulares u otros dispositivos electrónicos personales durante el horario laboral, salvo para llamadas relacionadas con el trabajo o emergencias; el incumplimiento de esta norma puede dar lugar al despido inmediato.
Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)
Meals: Per 655.122(g), the employer will provide three (3) meals per day (breakfast, lunch, dinner) and will charge the workers up to $16.78 per day, for the workers residing in the housing facility, subject to change with the publication of new rates by the Office of Foreign Labor Certification in the Federal Register. The employer will provide free transportation once per week to and from the laundry facility and store to obtain other necessities.

Transport: For workers recruited outside the area of intended employment, transportation and subsistence expenses will be reimbursed by the employer in accordance with 20 CFR § 655.122(h).
