General Farm Worker

The job
Perform general winter farm duties including maintenance and repair of farm equipment, machinery, and agricultural infrastructure during the winter months when equipment is not actively being used for planting, growing, or harvesting operations. Inspect, service, clean, lubricate, repair, and prepare tractors, implements, trucks, and other farm equipment for the upcoming crop season. Perform routine maintenance and repairs to farm buildings, fences, gates, drainage systems, irrigation components, storage areas, and other agricultural infrastructure used in the farming operation. Manually carry, connect, install, repair, and maintain field drainage tile and related drainage systems. Clean and organize farm equipment, agricultural work areas, and storage areas. Assist with general farm maintenance and preparation necessary to ensure equipment and agricultural infrastructure are ready for the upcoming planting and growing season.
Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)
Meals: Fully equipped kitchen facilities available to prepare meals. Transportation available to travel to grocery stores to purchase food and groceries. Workers will be fully equipped to prepare and pack lunch.
Transport: Inbound flight or the most economical transportation will be reimbursed once the worker completes 50% of the contract. Once the worker completes 100% of the contract, the outbound flight or most economical transportation will be reimbursed or provided.
Experience wanted: 3 months
A class D drivers license are required to operate farm vehicle to drive to and from work.
