The job
Perform general livestock tasks such as feeding, watering, herding, grazing, castrating, branding, weighing, catching and loading animals.
Examining animals to detect diseases and injuries, assisting in birthing, administering medication, vaccinations, or insecticides.
Maintaining animal housing areas - cleaning stalls and sheds using disinfectant solutions, brushes and shovels.
Drive trucks, tractors and other equipment to distribute feed to animals.
Maintain ranch equipment.
Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)
Meals: Housing provided to the workers has fully equipped kitchen where they can prepare and cook their own meals three times a day. The kitchen is fully functional and equipped with appliances such as stove, refrigerator, microwave, and dishwasher - all in working condition. The kitchen is equipped with the necessary utensils for prepping and cooking food. Adequate sinks with warm and cold water under pressure. The employer will ensure that the workers have access to grocery store at least once a week to purchase their own food/produce. Workers have access to vehicles to drive themselves to the grocery stores from the house to the stores and back.
Transport: The Employer will, as per H2A regulations, reimburse the worker for travel cost, including daily subsistence rates stipulated at the time, from the worker’s place of residence to the workplace, and upon contract completion, from the workplace back to the worker’s place of residence at no less than the most economical and reasonable common carrier transportation charge for the distance involved, for example return bus and or airfare.
