The job

Workers will perform described job specifications as instructed by the Farm Manager or Crew Supervisor.

Shuttle Bus Driver: Pick up workers at living quarters and transport workers to work site. Twenty-five percent of the workers responsibilities will consist of transporting workers using a specified route on specific schedules depending upon production needs. The role of the Shuttle/Bus Driver will require adherence to DOT safety regulations, safe vehicle maintenance, as well as several farm responsibilities while not transporting workers during work shift. Shuttle/Bus Driver are required to take workers once a week to the bank, grocery store, and to the laundromat. Five percent of each workers responsibilities may be comprised of inspecting a vehicle, checking gas, oil, and water levels. Reporting and coordinating minor repairs to vehicles such as changing tires and following all maintenance scheduled requirements. Fifteen percent of the workers time encompass completing daily logs to document all passengers, mileage driven, vehicle inspections, use of gas cards, GPS and vehicle as specified by program, as well as reporting all safety incidents.

The worker must be able to read and speak the English & Spanish language sufficiently to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals in English, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records.

Field Operators: Other duties may include field walking, and monitoring harvest task. Maintain water coolers with ice and water. Move/operate harvest equipment. Move field restrooms/Port-O-Jons near worker task. Collecting harvest materials from workers.

Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)

Meals: The employer will provide free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities and free weekly transportation to the grocery store to workers living in employer-provided housing which will enable workers to prepare their own meals.

Transport: Inbound: Workers will determine their own inbound travel arrangements to the place of employment to begin the job contract. If the workers are coming from Mexico, the employer will provide and pay for a charter bus service from the consulate city to the place of employment for workers.

Experience wanted: 12 months

The employer may conduct a drug/alcohol test at the employer's expense on all new applicants post-employment. Failure to pass drug/alcohol screening is grounds for termination.

Applicants must be 21 years of age or older, possess a valid CDL license or foreign equivalent, and have 12 months of verifiable experience to perform this job duty.
