The job
Employees' duties include driving and operating farm machinery such as tractors and combining to perform farm activities such as planting, cultivating, and harvesting crops wheat & beans. Workers will drive tractors installed with GPS and operate designated towing equipment, drills, disks, and drags to furrow and prepare the soil, seed, and fertilize. They will haul with trucks materials, equipment, or harvested crops to designated locations. All items hauled are the property of the employer. There is no commercial hauling done. Daily routine maintenance will be done on all equipment & grounds. Workers must be able to work independently after being given instructions and be team players when needed.
Requirements:
- Employees have valid driver's licenses or obtain one in 60 days.
- Cell phone usage is limited to business-related calls only.
- NO TEXTING.
- No smoking in equipment, vehicles, housing or grounds.
- No drinking of alcoholic beverages during working hours and otherwise discouraged.
- Must be able to read, understand and speak English for record keeping and safety reasons.
- No Educational level is required.
- Must have three months of tractor driving installed with GPS and towed implements. Operate and understand computerized monitors.
Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)
Meals: The workers will have a fully furnished kitchen with cooking and eating utensils where they can prepare their meals.
When they cannot return for meals they will be provide with lunch cooler to pack their lunches.
Workers will be provided with transportation once a week to the closest grocery store where the workers can purchase their groceries and personal item.
Distance to the closest grocery store is less than 25 miles.
Transport: Once the worker has completed 50% of the contract Employer will reimburse the worker's cost of airfare and daily subsistence a minimum reimbursement of $ 16.78 per day and maximum reimbursement of $ 68.00 per day. (Receipts required) from place of recruitment (inbound) to placement of work. Upon completion of the contract employer will pay return airfare cost (outbound) to place of recruitment unless the worker does not return to the original recruitment location or an extension has been filed.
