The job

Duties may include: Feed and water livestock and monitor food and water supplies, herd livestock to pastures for grazing or to scales, trucks, or other enclosures, and assist with calving duties. Worker may examine animals to detect illness, injury, or disease, and to check physical characteristics, such as rate of weight gain and provide medical treatment, such as administering medications and vaccinations, or arrange for veterinarians to provide more extensive treatment. Drive trucks, tractors, and other equipment to move equipment. Inspect, clean, maintain, and repair equipment, machinery, buildings, pens, yards, and fences, & other related Ranch Hand activities as per SOC/OES 45-2093 (onetonline.org)

Housing: Rental or public accommodations

Meals: Three meals per day will be provided at no charge to workers who do not have access to free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities, including workers residing in public accommodations. Meals will include a daily source of protein, vitamins, and minerals. The employer has arranged catering with a local restaurant to provide three meals per day to these workers. All costs for the employer-provided meals will be paid by the employer, and no meal charge or deduction will be made to the worker. The employer will provide transportation to town for personal errands at least once per week for non-range workers.

Transport: The employer will provide or pay for transportation to H-2A and U.S. workers, or permit workers to arrange their own transportation and reimburse the worker for the reasonable costs incurred. Transportation reimbursement will be no less than, and is not required to be more than, the cost of the most economical and reasonable common carrier transportation for the distances involved.
