The job

Move and position greenhouse benches according to facility maps, production schedules, and plant-growth requirements.

Load, unload, move, and stack greenhouse benches using designated equipment.

Set up, operate, monitor, and clean seed-sowing lines and related production equipment.

Catch, handle, transport, and place seeded trays onto greenhouse or production benches.

Locate, pull, organize, and prepare seed needed for scheduled sowing activities.

Monitor seed supplies and inventory levels and report shortages or discrepancies.

Perform routine cleaning, inspection, and basic maintenance of sowing equipment and work areas.

Maintain clean, organized, and safe sowing and production areas.

Unload, handle, transport, and stage growing media and other materials used in sowing and plant production.

Generate, review, and use sowing and production reports as needed to complete assigned work.

Communicate and coordinate with sowing and production team members to complete daily production activities.

Perform other related greenhouse, sowing, plant-production, and crop-handling duties as assign

Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)

Meals: Housing will have free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities and transportation will be provided to the grocery store weekly.

Transport: Inbound: The employer will provide commercial bus tickets or private van transportation from the consulate city to the place of employment, paid for in advance. After arrival, the employer will reimburse the worker for daily subsistence and transportation costs incurred to the consulate city, at no less than the most economical and reasonable common carrier transportation charges. All visa costs will be paid in advance by the employer as required by regulations.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

Must be able to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds.

Work requires frequent or extensive pushing and pulling of greenhouse benches, carts, trays, materials, and equipment.

Work may require extended periods of standing, walking, or sitting.

Work requires frequent stooping, bending, reaching, and repetitive movements.

Must be able to work indoors and outdoors and in varying environmental conditions, including greenhouse environments with high temperatures and humidity.

Must be able to occasionally perform assigned work at heights of up to 25 feet, when properly trained and using required equipment and fall-protection procedures.

Must be able to safely use ladders when required for assigned duties.

Must be able to understand and safely use basic hand tools, shop tools, and production equipment appropriate to assigned work.
