Livestock worker

Workers needed: 1

Pay: $13.46/hour

Season: Dec 1, 2026 – Mar 31, 2027

Experience: 3 months

Employer-provided housing; Transportation provided/reimbursed

The job

Attend to live farm, ranch animals that include cattle; Duties include feeding, watering, herding, catching, and loading animals; Maintain records on animals; Examine animals to detect diseases and injuries; Prepare calving areas; Sort cattle upon sale; Administer medications, vaccinations, or insecticides as appropriate; Move livestock and feed from one location to another; Clean and maintain animal housing areas with loader; Break ice in water facilities and maintain heated watering systems; Inspect, maintain, prepare, repair livestock equipment, facilities, buildings, pens, yards, and fences; Must speak English.

Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)

Meals: Employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities, all of which are in working order, including refrigeration, space for food preparation, cooking accessories and utensils, appliances, and dishwashing facilities so that workers may prepare their own meals. Kitchen facilities include adequate sinks with hot and cold water under pressure. Employer will provide transportation once a week to assure workers access to stores where they can purchase groceries, when the employer is providing cooking and kitchen facilities.

Experience wanted: 3 months

Three (3) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a drug test at no cost to the worker and be subject to the employers drug free and alcohol free workplace policy including testing protocols. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
