The job

We have cattle that need to be cared for from December – June. The spring calves and cows will come home from pasture more than likely early December unless the weather conditions call for it sooner. Employees will need to check the water tanks, and using a pickup truck for hauling water, to make sure there is water always available, feed daily, check to be sure there are no sick

cows/calves, and doctoring when needed. Employee duties will include assisting with calving season which could include pulling a calf, trailering them to the veterinarian if needed, and doctoring calves. Employees will complete all cattle care as assigned, and some general farm duties. No care, feeding or water will be needed while in pastures. We only need seasonal assistance during the very labor-intensive calving season. The employer, at its sole discretion, may grant pay increases based on factors such as performance, longevity, and/or experience. Workers returning for a consecutive season will be paid at the previous season’s rate if that rate exceeds the current published rate.

Employer will offer free transportation to town for personal services (i.e. banking, groceries) at least once per week for non range workers.

Transport: The employer will pay the worker for reasonable costs incurred by the worker for transportation and daily subsistence from the place from which the worker has come to work for the employer, whether in the U.S. or abroad to the place of employment (inbound/outbound).
