The job

Maintain, repair, and overhaul farm machinery and vehicles, such as tractors, harvesters, and irrigation systems. Dismantle defective machines for repair, using hand tools. Record details of repairs made and parts used. Reassemble machines and equipment following repair, testing operation and making adjustments, as necessary. Clean and lubricate parts. Test and replace electrical components and wiring, using test meters, soldering equipment, and hand tools. Tune or overhaul engines. Examine and listen to equipment, read inspection reports, and confer with customers to locate and diagnose malfunctions. Repair or replace defective parts, using hand tools, milling and woodworking machines, lathes, welding equipment, grinders, or saws. Drive trucks to haul tools and equipment for on-site repair of large machinery. Fabricate new metal parts, using drill presses, engine lathes, and other machine tools. Repair bent or torn sheet metal. Install and repair agricultural irrigation, plumbing, and sprinkler systems. No CDL Required and no commercial truck driving required.

Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)

Meals: Employer-provided housing includes free and convenient kitchen facilities with appropriate equipment, appliances, cooking accessories, and dishwashing facilities for meal preparation. For workers residing in employer-provided housing, employer also provides free transportation once per week to/from closest town or city for personal errands (e.g., groceries, banking services).

Transport: The employer will permit workers to select any means of transportation they choose and provide reimbursement upon arrival at the farm for all inbound and outbound transportation at no less than the most economical and reasonable common carrier transportation charges for the distance involved. This may include plane, train, bus, or automobile.

Experience wanted: 12 months

Minimum of 12 months of experience is required. The worker must have high school/GED. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Workers must have positive verifiable experience relevant to the job and be capable of performing physically demanding tasks. Workers must be able to speak English. Employees must adhere to strict biosecurity, company policies, and food safety guidelines, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Certain roles may require a valid drivers license within 30 days of hire and a clean driving record for operating company vehicles. Exceptional performance may be rewarded with additional compensation or benefits at the employers discretion.
