The job

Repair and overhaul farm machinery and vehicles, such as tractors, harvesters, and irrigation systems. Dismantle defective machines for repair, using hand tools. Record details of repairs made and parts used. Reassemble machines and equipment following repair, testing operation and making adjustments, as necessary. Clean and lubricate parts. Test and replace electrical components and wiring, using test meters, soldering equipment, and hand tools. Tune or overhaul engines. Repair or replace defective parts, using hand tools, milling and woodworking machines, lathes, welding equipment, grinders, or saws. Fabricate new metal parts, using drill presses, engine lathes, and other machine tools. Install and repair agricultural irrigation, plumbing, and sprinkler systems. Drive a pickup truck when needed to pick up parts. No CDL Required and no commercial truck driving required.

Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)

Meals: Employer-provided housing includes free and convenient kitchen facilities with appropriate equipment, appliances, cooking accessories, and dishwashing facilities for meal preparation. For workers residing in employer-provided housing, employer also provides free transportation once per week to/from closest town or city for personal errands (e.g., groceries, banking services).

Transport: The employer will permit workers to select any means of transportation they choose and provide reimbursement upon arrival at the farm for all inbound and outbound transportation at no less than the most economical and reasonable common carrier transportation charges for the distance involved. This may include plane, train, bus, or automobile.

Experience wanted: 6 months

Minimum of 6 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire.

Employer requires drug screen post hire at employers expense due to the liability of operating equipment. Failure to pass drug screen will result in termination of employment. Employer requires criminal background check post-hire at employers' expense due to the presence of children and expensive tools and equipment on the farm. Failure to pass criminal background check will result in termination of employment. Lift and carry items weighing up to 70 pounds. Extensive pushing and pulling is required. Frequent stooping is required. Repetitive movements is required. Workers must have positive verifiable experience relevant to the job and be capable of performing physically demanding tasks. Workers must be able to speak English. Employees must adhere to strict biosecurity, company policies, and food safety guidelines, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
