The job
We need a seasonal employee to assist with our cattle/cow/calf operation season. The employee will need to assist with all job duties assigned related to the livestock seasonal operation. Feed and tend cattle during the winter calving season. Load, handle, and distribute feed using forklifts, augers, conveyors, shovels, pitchforks, and other farm equipment. Feed hay, ground feed, and supplements; monitor cattle and newborn calves; maintain food and water supplies; assist with routine cattle care; and maintain feeding areas, fences, and related equipment.
Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)
Meals: The employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities and space for food preparation, as well as the necessary equipment, appliances (including refrigeration),cooking accessories, and dish washing facilities (e.g., adequate sinks with hot and cold water under pressure) that are in working condition and will be used by workers to sufficiently prepare three (3) meals a day. Employer will offer free transportation to town for personal services (i.e. banking, groceries) at least once per week for non range workers.
Transport: The employer will pay the worker for reasonable costs incurred by the worker for transportation and daily subsistence from the place from which the worker has come to work for the employer, whether in the U.S. or abroad to the place of employment (inbound/outbound). The employer will permit workers to select any means of transportation they choose and reimburse workers at no less than the most economical and reasonable common carrier transportation charges for the distances involved.
Experience wanted: 3 months
Job requires ability to lift 50 lbs, and must have a regular diver's license. Require 3 months experience.
