The job
Pruning and Plating Blueberries
Pruning includes:
Cut out any dead, diseased, or winter-damaged branches right down to the healthy wood or base.
Trim away any spindly growth close to the ground and branches that cross or rub against each other to improve airflow and sunlight.
Identify thick, gray, or lichen-covered canes older than 6 years at the base and cut 1 to 3 of them off completely at ground level to make room for new shoots.
Open up the middle of the bush into an open, vase-like shape
Planting includes:
Dig holes.
Plant.
Mulch and water.
Housing: Rental or public accommodations
Meals: Employer will provide meals through a caterer.
Transport: Employer will provide Charter Bus services or Vans, and subsistence costs to groups of foreign workers from place of recruitment.
Employer will also provide transportation and subsistence costs to workers in corresponding employment who are traveling to the
employers worksite individually. If the worker completes the work contract period, or if the employee is terminated without cause, and
the worker has no immediate subsequent H-2A employment.

When starting a farming activity for the first time, the employer will provide instructions and/or training on the appropriate way to carry out the growing activity. Thereafter, the worker is expected to perform the task with the diligence instructed. Not doing so is grounds for insubordination and dismissal. The training will last two days.
