The job
Workers will perform agricultural duties associated with the breeding, raising, and care of horses. Duties include feeding, watering, grooming, and providing routine care for horses; observing horses for signs of illness, injury, pregnancy, and readiness for breeding and reporting concerns to the supervisor; and handling and moving mares, stallions, foals, and young horses. Workers will assist with horse breeding activities, including preparing and handling mares and stallions for breeding and assisting with breeding procedures under supervision. Workers will care for pregnant mares, monitor mares approaching foaling, and assist with foaling as directed. Workers will provide routine care for mares and newborn foals and assist with weaning and handling young horses. Workers will clean and maintain stalls, barns, pens, corrals, breeding areas, feeders, and water troughs; remove manure; replace bedding; and clean and disinfect livestock areas and equipment. Workers may repair and maintain fences, gates, barns, pens, and other facilities used in the horse breeding operation.
Workers may operate tractors, utility vehicles, trailers, and other farm equipment used in feeding, moving, and caring for horses and maintaining livestock areas. Workers may load, unload, lead, and move horses as necessary. Perform other agricultural duties directly related to the breeding, raising, and care of horses.
Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)
Meals: Housing will have free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities and transportation will be provided to the grocery store weekly.
Transport: Inbound: The employer will provide commercial bus tickets or private van transportation from the consulate city to the place of employment, paid for in advance. After arrival, the employer will reimburse the worker for daily subsistence and transportation costs incurred to the consulate city, at no less than the most economical and reasonable common carrier transportation charges. All visa costs will be paid in advance by the employer as required by regulations.
