The job

We are a 6000-acre row crop/wheat farming operation. We grow mainly wheat, cotton, milo, and corn. We service and use center pivot irrigation for roughly 40% of our acres. The rest are dryland. We need assistance caring for stocker cattle on winter wheat over the winter months, processing and shipping cattle, building hot wire fence, etc. We also need help servicing and maintaining farm equipment and irrigation equipment to prepare for the next growing season. Job duties may include and are not limited to tasks such as: attach/detach implements; clean work areas; inform farm managers of plants or crops progress; load and unload materials and commodities; record information about crops; repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures; set up repair, maintain, and operate specialized equipment; tend to livestock by feeding, medicating, general care, grading, sorting, working, placing identification on, or relocating; tilling soil, transplanting, weeding, thinning, pruning crops; use hand tools such as wrenches, crow bars, air tools, electric tools. Equipment such as but not limited to the following will be used/operated by the workers in conjunction with the duties being performed: augers, bins, silos, loading and unloading facilities, combines or other harvesting equipment, cotton stripper/picker, GPS guidance systems, grain carts, forklift, irrigation equipment, mowers and other landscaping equipment, planters, skid steers, sprayers, tillage equipment, tractor/trailer combinations. The workers will be performing the duties to help produce: cattle, corn, cotton, grain sorghum, silage, wheat. Must speak and understand English.

Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)

Meals: Employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities, all of which are in working order, including refrigeration, space for food preparation, cooking accessories and utensils, appliances, and dishwashing facilities so that workers may prepare their own meals. Kitchen facilities include adequate sinks with hot and cold water under pressure. Employer will provide transportation once a week to assure workers access to stores where they can purchase groceries, when the employer is providing cooking and kitchen facilities.

Experience wanted: 6 months

Six (6) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
