The job
We need seasonal employees to assist with our corn, wheat, and rye crop production season. Employee will need to assist with all job duties assigned related to growing these crops. Prepare fields for planting and operate tractors and agricultural equipment, including planters, sprayers, seed drills, manure spreaders, combines, and other farm machinery. Attach and adjust farm implements such as plows, discs, sprayers, and harvesters using bolts and hand tools. Perform planting, cultivating, weeding, spraying, and harvesting activities. Install, operate, maintain, and repair center-pivot irrigation systems and related equipment. Load and unload crops and agricultural materials manually or using conveyors, forklifts, transfer augers, and hand trucks. Monitor machinery during operation to identify malfunctions and perform routine inspections, adjustments, maintenance, and repairs on farm equipment and irrigation systems. Record agricultural production and equipment data as required. Employer may provide pay increases for performance, longevity and/or experience at employer’s discretion.
Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)
Meals: The employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities and space for food preparation, as well as the necessary equipment, appliances (including refrigeration),cooking accessories, and dish washing facilities (e.g., adequate sinks with hot and cold water under pressure) that are in working condition and will be used by workers to sufficiently prepare three (3) meals a day. Employer will offer free transportation to town for personal services (i.e. banking, groceries) at least once per week for non range workers.
Transport: Employer is not a H-2ALC. Employees will be provided with an employer owned vehicle to drive to and from work and to town for errands at least once per week. Daily transportation schedule will coincide with the work schedule outlined on this application, or as agreed upon between employer and employee based on seasonal demands and/or workload. A different vehicle(s) may be provided which meets all DOT requirements if the following is no longer available. The vehicle provided will be a 2017 Dodge
