The job

Field Worker — Pepper Harvest & Cultivation :Workers will perform assigned duties as instructed by their supervisor. Duties may vary from time to time. Following the Supervisors instructions, the worker will fulfill the following duties to harvest. Hand-harvest a variety of peppers using knives and clippers; place harvested peppers into buckets. Plant pepper transplants and seed according to company spacing and depth specifications; perform bed preparation and transplant watering as directed. Load and unload harvested peppers, buckets and supplies on and off trucks, trailers, and transport carts. Pull weeds by hand and/or with hand tools; perform raking, soil smoothing, and minor bed maintenance. Clean and maintain work areas around fields, and other farm buildings (sweeping, debris removal, sanitizing surfaces as required).Operate or assist with manual field equipment and hand tools (e.g., clippers, shovels, rakes, wheelbarrows); follow safe operating procedures. Follow supervisor/crew leader instructions regarding harvest pace, quality standards, and handling to minimize crop damage and ensure food safety. Report damaged or diseased plants, equipment issues, and safety hazards to supervisor immediately. Work is performed outdoors in variable weather; significant exposure to sunlight, heat, wind, and dust is expected. Tasks require frequent stooping, bending, kneeling, walking over uneven terrain, and repetitive hand motions. Heavy lifting and carrying of buckets, and equipment up to approximately 50 lbs (or as required) on a regular basis. Work schedule may include long hours, early mornings, weekends, peak harvest periods. A copy of the work contract or a copy of the ETA 790 in lieu of a work contract, and any modifications , will be provided to the worker on the day the work commences. The employer will provide the tools necessary to perform the described job duties.

Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)

Meals: The employer will provide a free and convenient cooking facility and kitchen (including utensils) that will enable the workers to prepare their own meals. Transport: For workers recruited outside the area of intended employment, transportation and subsistence expenses will be reimbursed by the

employer in accordance with 20 CFR 655.122(h). Transportation from last place of employment to home country: If the worker

completes the work contract period, or if the worker is terminated without cause, and the worker has no immediate H-2A employment,

the employer will provide or pay for the worker?s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence.
