The job

We need seasonal employees to assist with our calving season. Our calving season starts in December and ends in March. During this calving season cattle are confined for calving and need daily care and feeding. After the season ends, no daily care is needed. Cattle duties are only needed in this time frame due to our scheduled calving times for our cattle. Feed and water livestock; monitor food and water supplies; mix feed, additives, and medicines in prescribed portions; order and distribute feed using trucks, tractors, or other equipment. Examine animals to detect illness, injury, disease, or abnormal weight gain. Assist with animal reproduction, including breeding, artificial insemination, and helping with births. Herd livestock to pastures, scales, trucks, or enclosures; shift animals between grazing areas to ensure access to food; patrol grazing lands on horseback or ATV. Move livestock, equipment, or poultry between locations manually or using vehicles. Clean stalls, pens, and equipment using disinfectants, brushes, shovels, hoses, or pumps. Inspect, maintain, and repair equipment, machinery, pens, yards, fences, and buildings. Maintain growth, feeding, production, and cost records; maintain operational records and inventories of materials, equipment, or products.

Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)

Meals: The employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities and space for food preparation, as well as the necessary equipment, appliances (including refrigeration),cooking accessories, and dish washing facilities (e.g., adequate sinks with hot and cold water under pressure) that are in working condition and will be used by workers to sufficiently prepare three (3) meals a day. Employer will offer free transportation to town for personal services (i.e. banking, groceries) at least once per week for non range workers.

Transport: The employer will pay the worker for reasonable costs incurred by the worker for transportation and daily subsistence from the place from which the worker has come to work for the employer, whether in the U.S. or abroad to the place of employment (inbound/outbound). The employer will permit workers to select any means of transportation they choose and reimburse workers at no less than the most economical and reasonable common carrier transportation charges for the distances involved.

Experience wanted: 3 months

Job requires exposure to extreme outdoor temperatures, Must be able to lift 50 lbs, No driver's license required. Require 3 months experience.
