Horse Farm Laborer

Employer: Cox Stallion Station, Inc.

Location: Kaplan, LA

Workers needed: 8

Pay: $10.42/hour

Season: Dec 15, 2026 – Oct 10, 2027

Employer-provided housing; Transportation provided/reimbursed

The job

Stalling horses at night; loading and unloading of horses; monitor horses during birth of foals; prep horses for breeding; prep horses for sale, including: brushing, exercising, and cleaning stalls; Cleaning out and upkeep of horse stalls; feeding and watering horses while stalled; upkeep of pastures, including mowing grass, gathering and removing of debris and litter, weed/pest control, building, maintaining, and painting of pasture fences; cleanup and maintenance of worksite; loading and unloading of trucks and trailers.

Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)

Meals: Employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities so workers may prepare their own meals. Employer will provide (on a voluntary basis) transportation to assure workers have access to stores where they

can purchase groceries.

Transport: Transportation & related daily subsistence will be provided by the employer or paid by the employer to the worker for reasonable costs incurred for inbound & outbound travel. Employer will provide or pay for charter bus services or other modes of transportation to groups of H-2A or U.S. workers, or permit workers to select any means of transportation they choose & reimburse workers at no less than the most economical & reasonable common carrier transportation charges for the distances involved.
