The job
General farm workers for crawfish season and general farm work. Work to include: manually cutting up fish bait, bait crawfish traps, operate push & motorized crawfish boat, lift traps from pond, load & unload sacks of crawfish, repair traps as needed & put in crawfish ponds, drive tractor, help repair and maintain farm equipment, shop, fields, levees, and farm roads. Frequent stooping, lifting requirement of 40 lbs., repetitive movements, extensive walking, pushing & pulling. All tools, supplies & equipment provided at no cost to workers. Housing provided on the premises at no cost. Employees may make above hourly wage and or receive bonuses based on work performance and experience, may be subject to random drug screen paid by employer upon hire or if suspicions arise--this is a drug free work zone.Transportation & subsistence expenses to the worksite will be paid by the employer upon completion of 50% of the work contract. Must have legal authority to work within the U.S
Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)
Meals: Employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities so workers may prepare their own meals. Employer will provide (on a voluntary basis) transportation to assure workers have access to stores where they can purchase groceries.
Transport: The employer will provide or pay for charter bus services or other modes of transportation to groups of H-2A or U.S. workers, or permit workers to select any means of transportation they choose and reimburse workers at no less than the most economical and reasonable common carrier transportation charges for the distances involved to and from the place of employment.
