The job

Worker will be required to perform a variety of duties found in SOC Code 47-4031 Fence Erector This position will require physical manual labor in outdoor conditions and workers will work in conditions such as cold temperatures, high humidity, rain, snow, and Ice. Job duties will include but not be limited to the following: Establish the location for a fence, and gather information needed to ensure that there are no electric cables or water lines in the area. Clear vegetation from fence area and level fence line area as needed. Set metal or wooden posts in upright positions in postholes. Manually drive metal posts using hand held post drivers or mechanical drivers. Measure and lay out fence lines and mark posthole positions, following instructions, drawings, or specifications. Align posts, by lines or sighting, and verify vertical alignment of posts, using plumb bobs or spirit levels. Attach rails or tension wire along bottoms of posts to form fencing frames. Dig postholes, using spades, posthole diggers, or power-driven augers. Tamp and backfill post holes after setting posts with dirt, concrete, or other materials as directed. Mix and pour concrete around bases of posts, or tamp soil into postholes to embed posts. Assemble gates, and fasten gates into position, using hand tools. Stretch wire, wire mesh, or chain link fencing between posts, and attach fencing to frames and posts. Cut and fit metal fence parts. Weld metal fence parts together, using portable welding equipment. Ensure that dormant vegetation does not catch fire

while fitting metal fence parts, cutting or welding. Use hand tools such as shovels, brooms, straps, tarps Load agricultural products onto trucks without over or under filling and drive to market or storage facilities or deliver fence supplies such as posts, wire, concrete, pipe, etc. Break ice, thaw lines; Drive side by side; Haul water; Fence off hay stackyards, Ship and receive hay, keep stack yards organized by variety and hay quality. Operate safety equipment and use safe work habits. Must speak and understand English.

Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)

Meals: Employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities, all of which are in working order, including refrigeration, space for food preparation, cooking accessories and utensils, appliances, and dishwashing facilities so that workers may prepare their own meals. Kitchen facilities include adequate sinks with hot and cold water under pressure. Employer will provide transportation once a week to assure workers access to stores where they can purchase groceries, when the employer is providing cooking and kitchen facilities.

Experience wanted: 1 months

One (1) month of recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
