The job
Employees will operate equipment with towed feeder wagon implements designated for feeding and bedding cattle.
They will assist with calving the herd and caring for new borns.
They will check pens for water, cleanliness, and health conditions of the animals.
They will grind feed, vaccinate, brand, and tag the ears of the animals.
Routine maintenance will need to be done on machinery, grounds, and structures.
- Employees must speak, read, write and understand the English language for record-keeping and safety reasons.
- Cell phones are limited to business calls only. No Texting.
- No smoking or drinking of alcoholic beverages during working hours.
- Must have a current driver's license or be capable of obtaining one in 60 days.
- Workers must have three months of tractor-driving experience and cattle experience with computerized monitors.
Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)
Meals: Employees will have a fully furnished kitchen where they can fix their meals. When they cannot return to the housing unit for lunches they will be provided with a lunch cooler to pack their meals. Grocery store is 17 mile away.
Transport: When worker has completed 50% of the contract Employer will reimburse worker's cost of airfare and daily subsistence a minimum reimbursement of $ 16.78 per day and a maximum reimbursement of $ 68.00 per day. (Receipts required) from place of recruitment (inbound) to placement of work. Upon completion of contract employer will reimburse return cost air fare (outbound) place of recruitment, except when worker does not return to place of original recruitment or an extension is filed.
