The job

Moving cattle home from summer pasture in November. Fall cattle work/pregnancy checking. Weaning. Working and vaccinating cattle. Maintaining feed equipment. Welding maintenance. Inspect livestock for illness/injuries. Maintaining winter grazing fences. Hauling hay to cows. Prepping waterlines for freeze. Shipping calves to market. Moving cattle to calving pastures in January. Calving begins end of November- January. Prepping hay equipment. Tagging cattle. Hauling hay to pastures. Farming with: Beef Cattle

Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)

Meals: Employer-provided housing includes free and convenient kitchen facilities with appropriate equipment, appliances, cooking accessories, and dishwashing facilities for meal preparation. For workers residing in employer-provided housing, employer also provides free transportation once per week to/from closest town or city for personal errands (e.g., groceries, banking services).

Transport: The employer will permit workers to select any means of transportation they choose and provide reimbursement upon arrival at the farm for all inbound and outbound transportation at no less than the most economical and reasonable common carrier transportation charges for the distance involved. This may include plane, train, bus, or automobile.

Minimum of 1 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Employer requires criminal background check post-hire at employers' expense due to the presence of children and expensive tools and equipment on the farm. Failure to pass criminal background check will result in termination of employment.Lift and carry items weighing up to 70 pounds. Extensive pushing and pulling is required. Extensive sitting is required. Extensive walking is required. Frequent stooping is required. Workers must have positive verifiable experience relevant to the job and be capable of performing physically demanding tasks. Workers must be able to speak English.
