The job

Attend to live farm, ranch animals; Duties include feeding, watering, herding, grazing, castrating, branding, catching, and loading animals; Maintain records on animals; Examine animals to detect diseases and injuries; Assist in birth deliveries; Wean young; Administer medications, vaccinations, or insecticides as appropriate; Mix feed, additives, and medicines in prescribed portions; Unroll and reroll/reband hay to be distributed; Move livestock from one location to another; Clean and maintain animal housing areas; Inspect, maintain, prepare, repair livestock facilities, buildings, pens, yards, and fences; Must speak English.

Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)

Meals: Employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities, all of which are in working order, including refrigeration, space for food preparation, cooking accessories and utensils, appliances, and dishwashing facilities so that workers may prepare their own meals. Kitchen facilities include adequate sinks with hot and cold water under pressure. Employer will provide transportation once a week to assure workers access to stores where they can purchase groceries, when the employer is providing cooking and kitchen facilities.

Be able to work in extreme conditions such as heat, humidity, wind, cold. Lift and carry supplies. Follow instructions. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment. . Lift up to 50 lbs.
