The job
The parlor operator prepares the milking quipment and bulk tanks, milks cows and cleans equipment and facilities. They are responsible for basic maintenance of parlor equipment and some record keeping.
*Behave in a calm manner that minimizes stress on cows
*Adequately stimulates teats to encourage milk letdown
*Prep and attach millking units
*Identify and inflamed udder
*Identify and report sick, lame, or low producing milking cows
*Recognize when equipment is malfunctioning
*Follow equipment procedures
*Safely use cleaning chemicals
*Identify abnormal milk
*Follow accepted safety practices
*Be on time to work, work at a reasonable pace and maintain internal motivation
*Work as a team member to solve problems
*Maintain all common staff areas
*Prepare Milking Equipment
Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)
Meals: There are kitchen facilities in the breakrooms of the milking parlors. There are cooking facilities in all the apartments.
Transport: We will pickup employee and drive them to place of employment. We will provide them with vehicle to use and will take them to the airport when it is time for them to leave.
