The job
Worker will assist with handling, packing, and moving honey and related products on the employer’s farm and associated agricultural facilities. Duties include filling, weighing, capping, and sealing honey containers; labeling and boxing containers for storage or shipment; stacking and organizing products; loading and unloading products and supplies; and cleaning and sanitizing work areas, equipment, and containers. Worker must follow all safety, quality, and employer instructions. Position requires standing for extended periods, repetitive movements, and the ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds. Work may be performed in hot, cold, or humid conditions. Employer will provide all necessary training, tools, and equipment
Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)
Meals: Housing will be clean and meet the applicable Federal and State Housing Standards. Workers will be responsible for maintaining housing in a neat, clean manner. Reasonable repair costs for damage, other than that caused by normal wear and tear, may be subject to court action for workers found responsible for damage to housing or furnishings.
Housing and utilities are provided at no cost to workers who are unable to return to their place of residence the same day. The employer will furnish free cooking facilities so workers may prepare their own meals. Free transportation will be provided once a week to a grocery store so workers can purchase their groceries.
Transport: For workers who complete 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will reimburse reasonable transportation and daily subsistence costs from the place from which the worker came. Workers who complete the contract, or are terminated without cause, will be provided return transportation and daily subsistence. Travel may be by plane, bus, or employer vehicle.
