The job
Hive Management: Inspecting hives regularly to monitor health, detect diseases or pests, and ensure the queen bee is laying eggs effectively.
Honey Harvesting: Extracting honey from combs and preparing it for sale or consumption.
Pollination Services: Providing pollination services for crops and orchards.
Bee Colony Maintenance: Ensuring sufficient food reserves, managing the hive's internal structure, and preventing swarming.
Product Handling: Collecting and packaging honey, beeswax, pollen, and other hive products.
Disease and Pest Control: Implementing measures to prevent and control diseases and pests in bee colonies.
Beekeeping Equipment: Maintaining and repairing beehives, beekeeping tools, and other equipment.
Worker will work Monday-Friday from approximately 7am-4:30pm with a one-hour lunch break and a 30-minute break
Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)
Meals: The principal dwelling is furnished with free and convenient cooking and refrigeration facilities. Employer will initially also provide with items needed to pack and prepare meals, so that prepared food can be safely transported and stored at worksite.(Ex: insulated lunch bag, ice packs, heat packs, utensils, coolers for temp control, access to running water and soap for hand washing prior to meals)
Transport: Employer provided transport inbound and outbound to employment in a road safe work vehicle. Employer statement regarding Inbound transportation: Jordening Apiaries will directly provide the cost of transportation to the worker. Transportation will be provided in the form of an airline ticket purchased for the worker by Jordening Apiaries at no cost to the worker. Jordening Apiaries will pick the worker up at the airport and transport him safely to his no-cost, employer provided accommodations.
