The job
Feed, water, bed, and observe cattle. Operate tractors, loaders, skid steers, feed wagons, and snow-removal equipment. Clear snow and ice from feed lanes, pens, gates, and livestock areas. Inspect waterers and assist with thawing, cleaning, and minor repairs. Clean livestock areas and perform routine maintenance on equipment used for winter livestock care. Workers will not perform planting, cultivating, haying, or crop-harvesting duties.
Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)
Meals: Employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities so that workers may prepare their own meals and will provide transportation to assure workers access to stores where they can purchase groceries. Employer may provide occasional meals when kitchen facilities are not available for workers to use. and if meals are provided. meals will not be charged to worker.
Transport: The employer will provide or pay for reasonable inbound transportation and daily subsistence from the place the worker departed to the place of employment. If not provided or paid in advance, these costs will be reimbursed upon completion of 50% of the work contract at no less than the most economical and reasonable common-carrier rate. Upon completion of the contract or dismissal before completion, the employer will provide or pay for reasonable outbound transportation and daily subsistence.
Experience wanted: 3 months
Three (3) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed.
Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days following hire and obtain clean driving record.
Be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
No minimum educational level required.
