The job
Responsible for the care and maintenance of plants within a designated section of the greenhouse. They will perform various operational and supervisory tasks to ensure the effective operation of the growing facility by insuring that prescribed schedules, operating policies, and procedures are followed. Assist with seasonal production and shipping.
Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)
Meals: Employer-provided housing includes free and convenient kitchen facilities with appropriate equipment, appliances, cooking accessories, and dish washing facilities for meal preparation. Workers will buy their own groceries. Once a week the employers will offer to provide (on a voluntary basis by the workers) free transportation to assure workers access to the closest store where they can purchase groceries.
Transport: The employer will provide advance transportation for reasonable common carrier or other transportation which conforms to the ICC inbound transportation. If not the prevailing practice, the employer will reimburse the worker for transportation costs and subsistence to the employer's work site, when the worker completes 50% of the work period. Workers who voluntarily quit or are terminated for cause prior to completing 50% of the contract period will be required to reimburse the employer.
