The job
Feed and water livestock; monitor feed and water supplies; mix feed, additives, and medications according to prescribed portions; and order and distribute feed using trucks, tractors, and other equipment. Examine livestock for signs of illness, injury, disease, or abnormal weight gain and report concerns as needed. Spray, dip, or bathe livestock with disinfectants or insecticides. Herd livestock to pastures, scales, trucks, or enclosures and move animals between grazing areas to maintain access to feed; patrol grazing areas on horseback or ATV. Sort, segregate, mark, and identify livestock by ownership, grade, or condition using brands, tags, paint, or tattoos. Inspect, maintain, and perform routine repairs to livestock equipment, machinery, pens, yards, fences, and agricultural buildings.
Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)
Meals: The employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities and space for food preparation, as well as the necessary equipment, appliances (including refrigeration),cooking accessories, and dish washing facilities (e.g., adequate sinks with hot and cold water under pressure) that are in working condition and will be used by workers to sufficiently prepare three (3) meals a day. Employer will offer free transportation to town for personal services (i.e. banking, groceries) at least once per week for non range workers.
Transport: The employer will pay the worker for reasonable costs incurred by the worker for transportation and daily subsistence from the place from which the worker has come to work for the employer, whether in the U.S. or abroad to the place of employment (inbound/outbound). The employer will permit workers to select any means of transportation they choose and reimburse workers at no less than the most economical and reasonable common carrier transportation charges for the distances involved.
