The job
Operate agricultural equipment and machinery to perform farm-related activities, including planting, cultivating, and harvesting corn and soybeans. Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and minor repairs on tractors, combines, trucks, and other farm equipment. Assist with equipment repairs and servicing in the farm shop, including cleaning, lubricating, adjusting, and replacing worn or damaged parts. Maintain tools, equipment, and shop areas in a clean and orderly condition. Operate farm trucks to haul harvested corn and soybeans from the farm to local grain elevators for delivery and unloading. Perform general farm labor, assist with loading and unloading agricultural products, and complete other duties related to crop production, harvesting, equipment maintenance, and farm operations as assigned by the employer.
Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)
Meals: The workers will have a fully furnished kitchen with cooking and eating utensils where they can prepare their meals. When they cannot return for meals, they will be provided with a lunch cooler to pack their lunches. Workers will be provided with transportation once a week to the closest grocery store, where the workers can purchase their groceries and personal items. The distance to the closest
grocery store is 8 blocks.
Transport: When a worker has completed 50% of the contract Employer will reimburse worker's cost of airfare and daily subsistence (a minimum
reimbursement of $ 16.78 per day and a maximum reimbursement of $68.00 per day. (Receipts required) from the place of recruitment (inbound) to the placement of work. Upon completion of the contract employer will pay the return airfare cost (outbound) to
place of recruitment unless worker does not return to original recruitment location or an extension has been filed
Experience wanted: 3 months
Employees must have valid driver's licenses or obtain one in 30 days.
Cell phone usage is limited to business-related calls only. NO TEXTING.
No smoking in the equipment, vehicles, housing or grounds.
No drinking of alcoholic beverages during working hours.
The worker must be able to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals in English, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records.
