The job
Job duties include the transportation of vegetable and floral plant material grown or handled by the Employer only to agricultural customers, distribution centers, and warehouses. All driving is incidental and necessary to the Employer’s agricultural operations. Work will be performed at the Employer’s agricultural facilities and customer delivery locations located in the states of New York, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, Tennessee, New Hampshire, Michigan, West Virginia, Maryland, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Maine.
Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)
Meals: A free fully stocked kitchen with appliances is available, the farmer will transport the workers to the store and bank weekly for all of their grocery needs. Workers will prepare their own food.
Transport: The employer will provide or pay for charter bus services or other modes of transportation to groups of workers or permit workers to select any means of transportation they choose and reimburse workers at no less than the most economical and reasonable common carrier transportation charges for the distances involved for both inbound and outbound transportation for both to and from the place of employment.
Experience wanted: 6 months
must have a CDL license and verifiable 6 months experience driving CDL. The worker must be able to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals in English, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records.
