The job
Workers will perform general field duties to include but not limited to irrigation (will be in charge of checking the irrigation system and irrigation schedule), laying plastic, putting and pulling tape out, cleaning ditches, fixing fences, fixing leaks, weeding
onion, general farm cleaning (picking trash from fields and roads), chili and watermelon fields, and guiding watermelon vines. Workers will harvest watermelons, jalapenos, bell peppers, tomatoes, chili, zucchini, and other squash (for example,
pumpkins). Will also work in shed dumping and placing melons on the production line to start the packing process. Clean, sort, and package watermelons in boxes; must know how to drive a forklift. All employees will assist with cleaning duties at the end of the shift.
Able to lift 30 lbs. and work in all types of weather conditions (heat, cold, wind, moisture, and dust). Days and hours will vary (+/-); possible downtimes and/or extended hours.
Will assist with spraying chemical duties, with training and all safety protocols to follow. Will need to assist in cutting, raking, and baling hay. Must be able to drive the proper equipment for spraying, baling, and road maintenance . Must drive tractors to perform fieldwork. Knowledge of this type of work is required.
Watermelon cutters and pitchers must show responsibility and production at the time of harvesting. Morrow Farms depends on time to fulfill its customers (for example, Walmart) on a daily basis. It is important to know that our daily goal must be
completed on time.
Employees will assist with restrooms, and shade hauling duties, along with helping refill the water coolers.
Farm/shed work knowledge required.
All applicants must be able, willing, and qualified to perform the duties described and be available for the specified period and work in the intended area of employment. Employer will provide all tools required for the job duties listed. Anyone not
able, willing, and qualified to perform the duties described will be sent back home.
The use of cell phones during work is prohibited, and agriculture jobs need employees to be always alerted to avoid/prevent incidents.
Drug, alcohol, and tobacco-free work zone: The use, possession, or being under the influence of illegal drugs or alcohol during the contract time is prohibited. Failure to comply with the request or testing positive may result in immediate termination.
Employer will request to conduct drug and alcohol screening tests during the contract period. Morrow Farms will pay all expenses
Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)
Meals: Employer will furnish free and convenient cooking facilities so workers may prepare their own meals.
Free transportation will be provided once a week to a grocery store so that workers can purchase their groceries.
Also, third-party vendors available at worksite.
Transport: Employer provided transportation will be airplane, charter bus, employer operated vehicle, or other common
means depending on the workers' country or State of origin. Any and all common means of transportation will
meet all applicable safety standards and will abide by 20 CFR 655.122(h)(1) & (2).

All workers must follow health and safety requirements such as face masks, gloves, no use of cellphones while working, no jewelry
allowed are other as designated. Note** We provide face covering, and gloves. Field workers will be exposed to outdoor conditions.
They should dress appropriately for warm weather, for example, layer clothing, head protection such as hats, proper footwear for
working in field conditions. Employees must provide their own footwear.
