At this chicken hatchery production facility, employees work with poultry, specifically chickens, throughout the full cycle from egg receipt to chick shipment, incubating chicken eggs, hatching the chicks, and preparing customer chick orders for delivery. For SOC 45-2093, 100% of the work involves examining feathers and colors of chicks to segregate chicks according to sex while also assisting in all areas of the hatchery and farms. The work includes toe, wing, and beak clipping; vaccinating; loading chicks into the separator; receiving, loading, and unloading eggs and chicks at the hatchery, farms, and shipping locations; driving to farms and shipping locations using vans; placing eggs on trays; loading trays into incubators; transferring eggs from incubators to hatchers; dumping product waste; filling customer orders; cleaning and sanitizing the facility and equipment; and performing all other duties as assigned. The employer, at its sole discretion, may grant pay increases based on factors such as performance, longevity, and/or experience. Returning workers will be paid the current H2A rate or their last year's wage rate, whichever is higher. If the current rate is lower than a returning worker's last year's rate, the worker will receive at least their last year's rate.

Employer will offer free transportation to town for personal services (i.e. banking, groceries) at least once per week for non range workers.
