The job
Responsible for the care, management, and maintenance of honeybee colonies to support honey production, pollination, and overall hive health. Performs routine hive inspections, monitors bee populations, manages pests and diseases, harvests honey, and
maintains beekeeping equipment while following appropriate safety procedures. Knowledge of honeybee behavior and colony management; Ability to inspect and maintain beehives; Familiarity with honey extraction and processing; Ability to operate and maintain beekeeping equipment; Attention to detail and good recordkeeping skills; Ability to perform outdoor physical work, including lifting and carrying equipment; Knowledge of bee safety practices and pest management procedures.
Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)
Meals: Employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities, all of which are in working order, including refrigeration, space for food preparation, cooking accessories and utensils, appliances, and dishwashing facilities so that workers may prepare their own meals. Kitchen facilities include adequate sinks with hot and cold water under pressure. Employer will provide transportation once a week to assure workers access to stores where they can purchase groceries, when the employer is providing cooking and kitchen facilities.

Experience wanted: 2 months
Two (2) months recent and verifiable experience with references required as a beekeeper. May not have bee, pollen or honey-related allergies. Must be able to obtain a drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Must be able to lift 45 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
