The job
Splitting hives; installing and gaging queen bees; treating hives for disease and mites; pulling and extracting honey; lifting up to 75 lbs; using power saws and other tools to repair and paint bee boxes and other beekeeping equipment; operate lawn mower to maintain worksite; manually carrying bees; driving farm vehicles and equipment to move and obtain supplies, honey extracting equipment, and misc. tools used to work with honey bees; minor daily and incidental upkeep to equipment, worksite, and colony boxes; cleaning work areas; recording information about crops; informing farm managers of progress; off-site delivery of bees possible; if such work is necessary, employer will pay travel time from listed worksite to location as well as meals and lodging until return. Must not have honey, pollen, or bee related allergies. Must speak and understand English.
Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)
Meals: Employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities, all of which are in working order, including refrigeration, space for food preparation, cooking accessories and utensils, appliances, and dishwashing facilities so that workers may prepare their own meals. Kitchen facilities include adequate sinks with hot and cold water under pressure. Employer will provide transportation once a week to assure workers access to stores where they can purchase groceries, when the employer is providing cooking and kitchen facilities.

Experience wanted: 2 months
Two (2) months of recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 75 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
