The job
Worker will be required to perform a variety of duties found in SOC Code 45-2091 Agricultural Equipment Operator such as: Mix specified materials or chemicals, and dump solutions, powders, or seeds into planter or sprayer machinery; Spray fertilizer or pesticide solutions to control insects, fungus and weed growth, and diseases; Observe and listen to machinery operation to detect equipment malfunctions; Manipulate controls to set, activate, and adjust mechanisms on machinery for cultivating, planting, spraying, watering, harvesting, storing crops; Operate or tend equipment (much of which is equipped with GPS) used in agricultural production such as tractor, combine, sprayer, grain cart, mower to produce crops such as rice, corn, soybeans; Adjust farm machinery and notify supervisors when machinery malfunctions; Attach farm implements such as plows, discs, planters, harvesters to tractors, using bolts and hand tools; Operate towed machines such as seed drills or spreaders to plant, fertilize, dust, and spray crops; Operate flood, furrow, center pivot irrigation for watering crops. Must speak and understand English. Approximate staggered entry: 4 workers to begin March 1, 2027 and 2 workers to begin July 15, 2027.
Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)
Meals: Employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities, all of which are in working order, including refrigeration, space for food preparation, cooking accessories and utensils, appliances, and dishwashing facilities so that workers may prepare their own meals. Kitchen facilities include adequate sinks with hot and cold water under pressure. Employer will provide transportation once a week to assure workers access to stores where they can purchase groceries, when the employer is providing cooking and kitchen facilities.

Experience wanted: 2 months
Two (2) months of recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
