The job
Duties may include: Prepare bees and beekeeping equipment; Raise and maintain Honey bee hives, includes: feedings, assemble hives, force remove bees from hive, extract honey comb from hive, move hive locations, trap Queen bees, maintain colony health; split bee colonies; Feed and medicate bees; Monitor, maintain and increase beehives; remove boxes from beehives; Harvest, extract and package honey; Build and repair bee boxes and other beekeeping equipment; Winterize all beekeeping facilities and equipment at the end of the season; cleanup and maintain of worksites and equipment.
Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)
Meals: Employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities so worker may prepare their own meals. Employer will provide (on a voluntary basis) transportation to assure workers have access to stores where they can purchase groceries.
Transport: Transportation, and related daily subsistence will be provided by the employer or paid by the employer to the worker for reasonable
costs incurred for inbound and outbound travel. Employer will provide or pay for charter bus services or other modes of transportation
to H-2A or U.S. workers, or permit workers to select any means of transportation they choose and reimburse workers at no less than
the most economical and reasonable common carrier transportation charges for the distances involved.
