The job

The Dairy Farm Logistics & Operations Lead will directly coordinate, track, and facilitate the day-to-day agricultural supply chain, inventory control, and movement of farmstead materials for an integrated farmstead dairy and creamery operation. Because the creamery exclusively processes 100% raw milk produced on-site by the adjacent dairy farm, the worker will balance duties between primary agricultural logistics and incidental farmstead storage and delivery prep.

Specific duties include:

• Farmstead Supply Chain & Material Logistics (50%): Coordinate the intake, storage schedules, and inventory tracking of cattle feed, farm supplies, and agricultural inputs. Direct and oversee the logistical transfer of raw milk from the milking parlor pipeline directly to the adjacent processing facility storage tanks. Maintain strict regulatory logs tracking daily raw product yields, temperature controls, and farm-to-plant transfer manifests.

• On-Farm Storage, Cold-Chain & Materials Handling (40%): Plan, schedule, and optimize transport routes for refrigerated farm trucks moving farm-produced agricultural commodities out of the farmstead facilities. Coordinate the work of packing, loading, and staging crews to ensure strict on-farm cold-chain compliance, product safety protocols, and proper first-in, first-out (FIFO) inventory rotation. Monitor farmstead warehouse inventory levels of packaging materials, processing ingredients, and farm-produced items.

• Compliance, Safety & Team Coordination (10%): Lead team orientations and guide farmstead workers on standard operating procedures (SOPs) regarding food safety, biosecurity, and dairy logistics equipment operation. Ensure that staging zones, loading docks, and adjacent farm-delivery areas continuously meet all agricultural and Department of Agriculture sanitary regulations.

• Language Requirements: Must be fluent in both English and Spanish. This requirement is a business necessity to ensure safe operational coordination between native Spanish-speaking agricultural workers on the production floor and English-speaking management and distribution vendors.

Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)

Meals: Employer-provided housing includes a fully equipped kitchen with stove, refrigerator, microwave, cookware, utensils, and food storage facilities. Workers are responsible for purchasing and preparing their own meals.

Transport: Employer will provide or reimburse inbound and outbound transportation and subsistence expenses as required under the H-2A program and applicable Department of Labor regulations. A vehicle will be made available to the worker for transportation between employer-provided housing and the worksite.
