The job
Workers will be required to plant seeds for vegetables and plants, transplant seedlings and place in suitable growing conditions. Watering plants, checking plants for disease and pest. Pruning. Preparing hanging baskets. Water and cultivate fields, help apply fertilizers, lay plastic, drip and lay flat, etc. Workers will be required to had harvest vegetables including but not limited to Tomatoes, Squash, Melons, etc. This will include harvesting in a bucket and pouring it over into a picking bin. Some tractor driving may be required. Workers will be required to do general farm labor, such as cleaning and picking up trash in the field, housing and greenhouse areas. Washing and sanitizing buckets, bins, tools, etc. Workers will be required to grade and pack vegetables in a box. Drug testing may be required at no cost to the worker to ensure worker safety and keep in compliance with workers compensation guidelines. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination. Workers must be able to perform all duties required.
Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)
Meals: Housing has cooking facilities with appropriate equipment, appliances, cooking accessories and dishwashing facilities for meal preparation and is offered free of charge to all workers. Workers are also provided with transportation to and from the grocery stores and restaurants.
Transport: Workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for travel cost from their hometown to the workplace. Employer pays/reimburses workers for travel (transportation, subsistence, and lodging if applicable) in the first work week. Employer pays/reimburses foreign workers for all visa related cost (excluding passport fees) in the first workweek. Employer pays/reimburses workers outbound travel costs (transportation, daily subsistence, and lodging if applicable) at the completion of contract, based
