The job
Workers will operate and maintain farm equipment and vehicles including (but not limited to) Combines, Cotton pickers, Grain Elevators, Sprayers, Tractors and other row crop machines. Workers will operate equipment to cultivate, harvest and seed row crops of Corn, Cotton, and Grain, load and unload trucks and grain elevators. Some workers with drivers licenses may operate trucks to transport crops (non CDL).
Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)
Meals: The employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities so that workers may prepare their own meals, this includes basic appliances, pots, pans, utensils, plates, bowls and dish washing facilities for meal preparation etc. The employer will also provide (on a regular weekly basis and at no cost) transportation, to assure workers access to stores where they can purchase groceries.
Transport: The employer offers prearranged chartered or commercial bus, van, or plane whichever is the most economical and reasonable means for the distance involved for the inbound and outbound workers travel.
Experience wanted: 3 months
Hours listed in Section A.6 are the anticipated hours to be worked. The employer may request additional work hours based on weather conditions, crop delay, pests or disease, crop yield, available labor, and or productivity. Use of electronic devices during work hours is restricted to emergencies only.
