The job

The job description and requirements for the worker position are:

Drive straight shifts and operate self-propelled equipment to haul crops from the field to feedyard or farm storage (depending on seasonal demand), as well as haul compost.

Attach and operate farm equipment and tractors to haul manure and harvest crops. Perform mechanical adjustments and repairs on farm machinery.

Load and unload semi-trucks, remove rocks and foreign materials from fields, and manage fuel transfer from storage tanks.

Conduct daily general maintenance on all assigned equipment.

All necessary tools, supplies, and equipment will be provided at no charge. In accordance with 655.20(k), workers are required to return worn-out tools, supplies, and equipment before replacements will be provided without charge or deposit.

Most duties are performed outdoors, entailing exposure to heat, cold, dust, rain, mosquitoes, and other common field conditions.

While instructions and general supervision will be provided by a designated employee, the worker must be able to perform duties without close supervision and successfully follow simple instructions from the employer or supervisor.

The worker must crouch, bend, lift and carry items weighing up to 100 pounds in the course of performing required activities.

Termination: The employer may terminate the workers employment if the worker:

1) Fails to complete or refuses to carry out work as assigned;

2) Unexcused absences from work;

3) Fails to work in accordance with the terms of this clearance order;

4) Commits an act of misconduct;

5) Commits a violation of the laws of the United States, the State, or the local jurisdiction;

If a worker voluntarily abandons the job or is terminated by the employer for cause, the employer will notify the NPC and DHS. Providing notification in a timely manner (within 2 working days) will relieve the employer of the subsequent requirements to provide return transportation and subsistence fees and the guarantee. Abandonment will be deemed to begin after a worker fails to report for work at the regularly scheduled time for 5 consecutive working days without the consent of the employer. The employer will provide a written work contract in a language understood by the worker.

Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)

Meals: Kitchen facilities, utilities, and utensils will be provided by the employer at no cost to the workers. Workers will provide and prepare their own meals. Upon request, the employer will provide transportation to the store at least every week for shopping for food and other necessary items at no cost to the worker.

Transport: The employer will provide advance transportation for reasonable (most economical) common carrier or other transportation that conforms to the Interstate Commerce Commission (ICC) inbounds transportation (if it is the prevailing practice). If not the prevailing practice, the employer will reimburse the worker for transportation costs and subsistence to the employer's worksite when the worker completes 50% of. the work period.

Experience wanted: 3 months

The worker will work 12 hours per day depending upon the conditions in the fields, weather, and crops maturity. In order to meet the three-fourths guarantee, the worker will not be required to work on the Sabbath or Federal holidays. The name, address, and telephone number of at least 1 reference who has first-hand knowledge and can verify the workers experience will be required.

Three months recent and verifiable experience required. Be able to lift up to 100 lbs. Must be able to obtain following hire appropriate CDL and obtain clean driving record to drive trucks tractors. This requirement is necessitated by the nature of the role, which involves operating gasoline engines and equipment without direct supervision. Essential duties include performing farm equipment repairs, mechanical adjustments, and conducting daily maintenance. Prior operational knowledge is critical to ensuring workplace safety and preventing accidents that could result from a complete lack of experience.
