The job
The company grows rootstocks and make grapevines from different grapes varietals clones. We graft and make plants then we sell the plants to many wineries and companies that plant vineyards. Workers start picking the rootstocks from the field then cut into pieces that afterwards will be grafted and we wait to form calluses then we can pot the plants and irrigate, fertilize and wait to be ready for delivered to our clients. The process is long and require many steps and a strict protocol. Our workers use different tools like: Pruning shears, grafting machine Knifes, Hoe Shovels, Electric tools ( Electric pruner, electric saw, electric edger) which we train them all and provide safety gear.
Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)
Meals: We will provide a full kitchen at no cost for the workers. They will be responsible only to buy their groceries. Workers will have access to grocery stores. They go in groups ( divided by roommates) every weekend to buy groceries for the week. They use the company car and yes we encourage our workers to apply for a driver’s license. Employer will also provide at no cost to the worker the company’s truck driver to assist with transportation.
Transport: We will provide prearranged secure and reliable transportation for the workers in order to be in abidance to DOL regulations at 20 CFR 655.122(h). We will provide, advance or reimburse the inbound, and outbound transportation for its workers, if necessary.
Inbound from location 1 to work: Most of the workers will live in the same address as the work location.
