The job
Grain hauling position related to transporting grain from point farm to the elevator. Your duties as a driver in this position are to load grain into a truck and drive the load to a grain elevator or storage bin. Physical labor and heavy lifting are major aspects of this career, and you also need to know how to operate farm and agriculture equipment. Your responsibilities include inspecting your truck and grain hauler, following guidelines set by your employer, and transferring grain crops efficiently.

CDL Exemptions
An age 15 licensed driver may drive a farm motor vehicle within 150 miles of the driver's farm when transporting agricultural products or farm supplies, provided the gross weight does not exceed 50,000 pounds.
Any two-axle, tandem axle, triple-axle, or truck-tractor farm vehicle controlled and operated by a farmer transporting agricultural products, farm machines, or farm supplies to or from a farm within 150 miles of the person’s farm.
A farm vehicle may tow a trailer, semi-trailer, or farm trailer except double and triple trailers--or, if under 18 years of age, a truck tractor.
Any farm vehicle operated by a farmer may transport hazardous material within 150 miles of the farm without a hazardous material endorsement on the operator’s license.
The farm exemption applies to farmers from adjoining states if there is a reciprocity agreement. North Dakota has reciprocity agreements for Farm CDLs with South Dakota, Minnesota, Montana, and Wyoming within 150 miles of the farm.
Increased pay and or bonus may be possible depending on experience.
Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)
Meals: Kitchen facilities, utilities and utensils will be provided by the employer at no cost to the worker. Worker will prepare their own meals. Upon request, employer will provide transportation to stores at least every two weeks for shopping for food and other necessary items at no cost to the worker
Transport: INBOUND 1) Advance the worker the required transportation and subsistence costs to workers in corresponding employment who are traveling to the employer's work site. The amount of daily subsistence payment will be no less than those set forth in Sec 655.173(a). 2) Pay directly for the inbound transportation, typically, airplane transportation, and reimburse any subsistence costs.
