The job
Workers will feed and oversee livestock. Feed and water livestock and monitor food and water supplies. Drive pick up trucks, tractors and other equipment to distribute feed to animals. Examine animals to detect illness, injury or disease and to check physical characteristics such as rate of weight gain. Mix feed, additives and medicines in prescribed portions (60%). Maintain property line fencing that surrounds grazing lands where livestock feed and water (20%) property upkeep including mowing pastures, weeding, tree trimming and sprinkler and irrigation repair on systems where livestock feed and water (20%). Workers will perform record keeping and enter information into a mobile or fixed database system. Workers must have 2 months verifiable experience working with cattle in a feed lot setting. This is for the safety of the workers and the animals. Generally, workers will work 12 days on and 2 days off, Monday through Friday from 7am to 5pm and Saturday through Sunday from 7am to 3pm, hours may be more or less depending on how many cattle are in the yard. Workers must be able to communicate in English.
Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)
Meals: The employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities so that workers may prepare their own meals, this includes basic appliances, pots, pans, utensils, plates, bowls and dish washing facilities for meal preparation etc. The employer will also provide (on a regular weekly basis and at no cost) transportation, to assure workers access to stores where they can purchase groceries.
Transport: The employer offers prearranged chartered or commercial bus, van, or plane whichever is the most economical and reasonable means for the distance involved for the inbound and outbound workers travel. Refer to Addendum C for continuation

Hours listed in Section A.6 are the anticipated hours to be worked. The employer may request additional work hours based on weather conditions, crop delay, pests or disease, crop yield, available labor, and or productivity.
