General Farm Worker

The job
Drives and operates farm machinery such as tractors and skid steer to perform potato farm activities such as conveyors and bin pile for loading railroad cars with potatoes. They will operate the potato washer and grading tables for inspection of the potatoes and transport with tractor / towed wagons for materials or supplies to designated locations. Scale tickets will have to be filed and routine maintenance will need to be done on all equipment, structures and snow removal of the grounds. Employees must have a valid drivers license or capable of obtaining one in 30 days. Cell phone usage is limited to business related calls only. NO TEXTING. No smoking or drinking of alcoholic beverages during working hours. No Educational level required. Must be able to read and speak English for daily record keeping and safety reasons. Must have three months of tractor driving experience with towed implements, skid steers and operate computerized monitors.
Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)
Meals: Fully equipped kitchen facilities available to prepare and cook meals. Transportation will be available to travel between work, housing and grocery stores to purchase groceries. Workers will be fully equipped to pack and prepare lunch boxes. Workers will not be charged for meals.
Transport: When workers have completed 50% contract, they will reimburse the cost of airfare transportation and daily subsistence (a minimum
reimbursement of $ 16.78 per day and a maximum reimbursement of $ 68.00 per day). From place of recruitment
(inbound) to placement of work. Upon completion of contract employer will pay the return cost of airfare (outbound)to the place of
recruitment, except when worker does not return to a place of original recruitment or an extension is filed.
