The job

Perform the following tasks to attend to livestock: Moving livestock home from fall pastures in December. Fall cattle work. Pregnancy checking. Weaning Calves. Feeding cattle . Bedding cattle. Working and vaccinating cattle. Maintaining feed equipment. Welding maintenance. Inspect livestock for injury and illness. Open frozen water. Snow removal. Shipping calves to market. Preparing barns and cattle for calving. Calving begins the end of February through April. Cleaning barns. Repairing haying equipment. Hauling commodities. Freeze branding cattle. Sorting cattle. Cleaning feed bunks. Grinding hay. Grinding grain. Drive to town to pickup cattle supplies. No CDL Required and no commercial truck driving required. Farming with: Beef Cattle

Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)

Meals: Employer-provided housing includes free and convenient kitchen facilities with appropriate equipment, appliances, cooking accessories, and dishwashing facilities for meal preparation. For workers residing in employer-provided housing, employer also provides free transportation once per week to/from closest town or city for personal errands (e.g., groceries, banking services).

Transport: The employer will permit workers to select any means of transportation they choose and provide reimbursement upon arrival at the farm for all inbound and outbound transportation at no less than the most economical and reasonable common carrier transportation charges for the distance involved. This may include plane, train, bus, or automobile.

Experience wanted: 1 months

Minimum of 1 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Employer requires drug screen post hire at employers expense due to the liability of operating equipment. Employer requires criminal background check post-hire at employers' expense due to the presence of children on the farm and expensive tools and equipment. Failure to pass drug screen and/or criminal background check will result in termination of employment. Lift and carry items weighing up to 75 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Extensive pushing and pulling is required. Extensive sitting is required. Extensive walking is required. Frequent stooping is required. Repetitive movements is required. Workers must have positive verifiable experience relevant to the job and be capable of performing physically demanding tasks. Workers must be able to speak English.
